I have a deep love of hand knitted socks - I love to knit them and I love to wear them. I also have an addiction to pretty handpainted sock yarn, but it's often difficult to find patterns that will play nicely with multicolored yarn. So we came up with entire book to show off our prettiest skeins - introducing Artful Arches. |

In my humble opinion, handmade socks are the perfect project - they can be as simple or as complicated as you want them to be, they're small and portable so they can be worked on anywhere, a typical pair of socks takes less than 100 grams of yarn and, best of all, the end product is something everyone can use. Socks are, in my humble opinion, the perfect summer project. Small, portable, and fun - they're constantly on my needles all year long. Also, since I love knitting with wool, they're light enough so I'm not dying of heat while working on them, like I would be with a heavier project. Great news! Felici, our beloved stripey sock yarn, is back with new colors! Clockwise, L-R: Dark Side, Balloon Ride, Sprinkles, Bubble, Kaleidoscope, Ever After, Eclipse, Beyond the Wall, Lost Lakes, Sunset. Aren't they gorgeous? These are are our 10 new colors, plus we brought back our classic Rainbow and Time Traveler. Since Felici is limited time yarn, we get to have a lot of fun with coming up with new colorways for you to have fun with - of course if the colors are a big hit (such as Rainbow & Time Traveler), we bring them back, but mainly we just like to create new special colors for you to enjoy! |

Socks are my addiction. Throughout the year, I always have a pair on my needles, no matter the weather. They are perfect to travel with, usually only take one skein of yarn, and can be worked on even in the heat of the summer when having a sweater or blanket on your lap would be miserable. Our Hawthorne yarn lines are my favorite; in fact, I can't remember the last pair I knit that wasn't in Hawthorne and now we highlight this beautiful yarn in our new collection Toasty Toes! |
