Hi, I’m Erica, and I’m the new marketing coordinator at Knit Picks! I started out here as the book designer working on our pattern collections, and I quickly became a huge fan girl for all things Knit Picks. I am so excited to be moving into this new role and sharing all that’s good about this company with you! (That’s me on the left.) You might be asking yourself: What kind of a knitter is this Erica person anyway? Well, the first thing I should tell you is that I taught myself to knit back in college. Now it is perfect for socks because Capretta now comes in SUPERWASH! Capretta is Capra’s fingering weight sibling and is a blend of 80% Fine Merino/10% Cashmere/10% Nylon. Joining Artful Arches and Toasty Toes, Splendid Soles is gorgeous collection featuring classic cable, delicate lace and fun textures. As the resident Knit Picks Sock Knitter, I'm in love with this collection and awed by the creativity of the amazing designers included. My needles are itching for so many of these patterns and I'm feeling a case of startitis coming on. |

I adore Hawthorne. I've worked with all of the lines (Multi, Kettle, Speckle, and our new Tonal) and I just love all of the finished projects. Since I've been using it in so many projects, I thought I'd reshare some of tips & tricks for working with what can be a challenging yarn to some people - Hawthorne Multi. While Tonal, Kettle, and Speckle will look great in most patterns, the colorful Multi can be an adventure to find the perfect project. |

I have a deep love of hand knitted socks - I love to knit them and I love to wear them. I also have an addiction to pretty handpainted sock yarn, but it's often difficult to find patterns that will play nicely with multicolored yarn. So we came up with entire book to show off our prettiest skeins - introducing Artful Arches. |
