Our newest addition to the Options knitting needle family is here! We’ve been getting tons of customer requests for square-shaped needles, so it seemed like a perfect fit to pair our popular Majestic wood colorway with the new Foursquare shape. The gentle layers of color in the laminated birch wood look fantastic paired with the angled cut and fancy corners, and they are just as smooth to knit with as our other wood knitting needles.

The Knit Picks Winter 2017 Catalog is here!

We have so many exciting things to show you! Our new Knit Picks Winter 2017 Catalog is in the mail (look for it in the next few days), and it is packed with SO MUCH fun stuff! Let’s start with the big news:

NEW Foursquare Needles

We’ll be talking more about our fabulous new needles in detail later this week, but for now here are the highlights: Our NEW Foursquare Needles are a little different – and a lot of fun! We took the same smooth, laminated birch of our popular Majestic needles and squared them. The slightly rounded corners provide a comfortable extra grip for your fingers and yarn, helping to keep your hands limber and your stitches even. Foursquare Needles are available in Straight Needles, Interchangeable Tips, DPNs, and Fixed Circular Needles.

Top 5 Patterns of 2016

This time of year, many of us crafters are looking for some brand new projects to start for ourselves! So I thought I’d do a round up of our best selling patterns from 2016, both to inspire you and to see what your fellow Knit Picks lovers worked on this year!

#1 – Hue Shift Afghan

This is, by far, our most popular pattern year after year! And it’s easy to see why – it’s a super fun knit (those squares are just addicting) and looks gorgeous. It’s also easy to switch colors or yarns for your own personal preference. The original is in Brava Sport while I made a version in Mighty Stitch (which I LOVE). I’ve also seen versions in so many creative colorways – check out the projects on Ravelry!
