This week's design for our 52 Weeks of Dishcloths is the Sloped Lines Dishcloth! When I started digging through stitch patterns for my design, I knew that I wanted to stick to crochet for this week. I just love the texture and unique lines that crochet stitches are able to bring to life. And I just couldn't resist the meandering lines that hug the small clusters of double crochets. |

When I make myself dishcloths, I tend to go towards ones that I can finish quickly (so I can use them right away - I always seem to make them when I need them the most). I also prefer ones I can work on when doing other things like reading or watching TV so they need to be easy enough I don't have to keep referring to the pattern. So for my dishcloth this week, I came up with the Slant Dishcloth: |

Here at Knit Picks we've been challenged to design dishcloths for the 52 weeks of dishcloths - fun free patterns in a wonderful collection. This week it was my turn. I've always leaned toward texture, and this time was no different! It's a combination of simple stitches that creates wonderful texture and delicious color. |

It's not often that I really dig making dishcloths. It's something I do to replace the previous victim of some kitchen disaster knowing as I'm knitting that this new creation is doomed to a slow, cheese-encrusted death over the next few months until it's replaced. That being said, the super simple stitch pattern that I came up with for the Reversible Pips Dishcloth is so satisfying and easy to memorize that I just want to sit down and make a huge pile of them over one weekend for FUN! |

We are officially in week 7 in our 52 Weeks of Dishcloths and my contribution is the Quadrant Dishcloth! It's all garter stitch, which makes it the perfect project for a lazy weekend afternoon with your favorite movie playing in the background. Plus, the stripes are a great excuse to dig through your stash in search of leftover bits of yarn. |

This week's new dishcloth pattern is inspired by a bygone era - The Jazz Age. |

During this time of year, with the days grey & dreary, I want a little cheer in my household. So I decided that I needed a bright & happy dishcloth, that way at least doing boring things like dishes is a little more exciting! |

I'm so happy to finally share my first contribution to our 52 Weeks of Dishcloths Knitalong - the Wavy Chevrons Dishcloth! My general rules for dishcloths are that the pattern has to work up quickly and be easy to memorize. And this simple crocheted chevron pattern fits the bill perfectly. |
