One of the reasons I love knitting over crochet is the amazing texture that knit stitches have. When using a super chunky yarn, the texture is amplified! That is why I love our Super Tuff Puff yarn. Knit in Public Day 2018: Recap
This past Saturday we loaded up our cars with yarn, books, and a giant unicorn and headed out to Overlook Park in north Portland to host our annual Knit Pick-nic.

Crochet is such a fun craft! Although I am not a confident knitter, crochet will always have my heart. Every June since 2005, knitters around the world have been gathering together in public spaces to celebrate their craft with like-minded individuals. This year, as in years past, the Knit Picks staff is hosting an event in our own backyard of Portland, Oregon, known as our “Knit Pick-nic”, in the spirit of this day. Any and all crafters, crocheters, & knitters are welcome to attend and partake in this fun communal crafting event.
