Every June since 2005, knitters around the world have been gathering together in public spaces to celebrate their craft with like-minded individuals. This year, as in years past, the Knit Picks staff is hosting an event in our own backyard of Portland, Oregon, known as our “Knit Pick-nic”, in the spirit of this day. Any and all crafters, crocheters, & knitters are welcome to attend and partake in this fun communal crafting event. We’ll be supplying attendees with loads of FREE Knit Picks yarn, raffle prizes, snacks, and other fiber-related fun. So bring whatever project you’re working on, or the tools you’ll need to start a new one (did we mention the loads of FREE yarn we will be giving out?) and come hang out with us! See all the details for this fun + sociable annual event here.
If you’re saying to yourself, “Darnit! I don’t live in the Pacific Northwest.”, don’t worry. There are similar events happening all over the world! To see what’s happening in your neck of the woods, check out the official website for Worldwide Knit in Public Day. Happy knitting everyone!
