After eight years of making our very own pattern collections, we’ve finally created a Best of Knit Picks pattern collection! Our very favorite garment patterns from our archive are now together in one amazing (and enormous) book. Colorwork, cables, tweed and a few luxury yarns shine in these newly standardized and updated patterns. Lee and Stacey who work together to bring you all of our pattern collections sit down to share some behind the scenes insight into their favorite patterns and the logistics of producing our very first Best Of collection. |

One of our favorite things about our new Pawtastic book is that our brand manager Hannah’s doggos modeled for it! |

Hi, I’m Erica, and I’m the new marketing coordinator at Knit Picks! I started out here as the book designer working on our pattern collections, and I quickly became a huge fan girl for all things Knit Picks. I am so excited to be moving into this new role and sharing all that’s good about this company with you! (That’s me on the left.) You might be asking yourself: What kind of a knitter is this Erica person anyway? Well, the first thing I should tell you is that I taught myself to knit back in college. I’m ashamed (and a little proud?) to admit that my first big project was … drum roll … the Queen of Hearts Bikini from Stitch ‘n Bitch: The Knitter’s Handbook. |

It’s been a bit since our last staff project post. Most of us have been up to our ears in traveling to shows, developing new exciting products, and in general just resisting the temptation to stay inside all day and make ALL the things. Regardless of how busy we are, you know we spend an inordinate amount of time with our pattern queue and massive yarn stash. Here’s a look at what has been coming off of our needles around the office this fall! Kate’s Shifty Shawl |

It was a year ago this month that Knit Picks marked a momentous milestone: attending our first ever show. Since that first experience at Vogue Knitting Seattle, we've seen a lot of interesting places, made a lot of dumb mistakes, and met so many fabulous Knit Picks fans. |

Hi, I’m Lee, your new digital graphic designer! That means I’m creating the emails you get from us multiple times a week, as well as the graphics on the website, and other assorted stuff. I’m so happy to be here—as a former knitting pattern designer, and a new graphic designer, this job is the perfect overlap of my two biggest fields of interest and experience! |

I loved knitting with the springy, wooly goodness of Simply Wool for the first time! I'm so used to Wool of the Andes Superwash as my go-to worsted weight yarn but I'm truely a convert to our new line. I always reach for natural, undyed wools before other colors and I love all the browns and greys in these happy hanks. Simply Wool has all the squish of my favorite wools without the scratchiness! Each stitch felt so good that I actually regret how quickly this project worked up! In case you weren't sure, I want to re-emphasize that I knit a worsted wool sweater in Portland during one of our hottest summers and loved every minute. Seriously. Get thee to some Simply Wool, you won't regret it. |
