Reversible Pips Dishcloth

pips43
It’s not often that I really dig making dishcloths. It’s something I do to replace the previous victim of some kitchen disaster knowing as I’m knitting that this new creation is doomed to a slow, cheese-encrusted death over the next few months until it’s replaced. That being said, the super simple stitch pattern that I came up with for the Reversible Pips Dishcloth is so satisfying and easy to memorize that I just want to sit down and make a huge pile of them over one weekend for FUN!

Quadrant Dishcloth

We are officially in week 7 in our 52 Weeks of Dishcloths and my contribution is the Quadrant Dishcloth! It’s all garter stitch, which makes it the perfect project for a lazy weekend afternoon with your favorite movie playing in the background. Plus, the stripes are a great excuse to dig through your stash in search of leftover bits of yarn.

52 Weeks of Dishcloths

Happy New Year!

How many of you knit or crochet dishcloths?  We know they are pretty popular – all of us here make our own dishcloths all the time, usually practicing a fun new stitch or technique.  And I find that all of my handmade dishcloths last work so much better than ones found in stores.

So with that in mind, for 2014 we thought we’d have a fun little Dishcloth-along!  Every week, we will be posting a brand new dishcloth pattern – for free!  Each pattern is written by the Knit Picks staff and at the end of the year, we have something special planned for them. (it’s a secret for now, but I think you’ll enjoy it!)

So first up is the dishcloth pattern I make all the time for myself – Orbital.
