Static Yarn Automatically Makes Great Socks!

Static gets its unique patterning from precision dyeing, which makes for very fun socks (and other items, of course!). Check out how Static looks in these projects:

JulieAnnKnitter on Instagram is one of our biggest Static fans. She wrote:

“Wow have you tried out @knit_picks new Static sock yarn?!? 🤩🤩🤩 This Sock has been flying off my needles. I love the self patterning of the yarn and the colours SO much!! I may have ordered more of the colours from this collection because I’m slightly obsessed.”

She wrote: “Few things make me happier than wearing a freshly finished hand-knit pair of socks🤩.”

“This pattern (Husband’s Favourite) by @julieannknitter is absolutely amazing. And paired with @knit_picks Static…well it doesn’t get any better! I can’t wait to wear these for the rest of Fall.”

Christine.knits on Instagram also recently finished some socks in Static:

She said: “Yarn is Knit Picks Static in Cameo 💕 this yarn is absolutely fantastic. I’m a sucker for self patterning (it’s my favorite kind of sock yarn) and this stuff is soft like Felici. Ordered another four colours and I absolutely can’t wait for them to get here!”

We love this pair of Static socks by kitchenercat on Instagram:

“Finished another pair! I finally got to try out #knitpicksstatic in Taos. What a fun yarn! I love the unique self striping pattern, and the yarn itself is like a tougher version of Stroll. Not quite Hawthorne, but not quite as soft as some other sock yarns. I think it might hold up to my 11 year old 😆”

Imagined_landscapes posted these lovely finished socks on Instagram:

“🐓☀️ I don’t know if I could have picked a summery-er pair of socks to be working on… This is Rooster in the Static line from @knit_picks and I can’t wait to see my husband’s feet looking like the surface of the sun!”

Static Yarn, Not Just for Socks

Of course, we call Static “sock yarn” but it can be used for any fingering weight pattern you like! We love this top by zornnm on Instagram:

“My newly completed Scotch Broom Crop by Wool and Pine using Knit Picks static yarn. I love how the stitch at the top highlights the variegated yarn and I’m obsessed with these colors.”
