As one of our resident copywriters, I get first peek at all of the varied and wonderful books available on the website. Often times, simply because of workflow and logistics, I see the book's title far before I see any related images, patterns or other content; that means that I am often unable to immediately "judge a book by its cover"—allowing hilarity to ensue! In honor of our super 40% off book sale, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite oddball, double-take, laughter-gifting titles. I apologize in advance. Earth Day isn't until April 22nd, but we wanted to do something for the whole month of April to celebrate it. Full Circle, our Special Reserve recycled wool yarn, is on sale for 10% off from 4/1 until 4/30. After the sale is finished, Knit Picks will donate an additional 10% of sales to the Arbor Day Foundation. A win for you, and a win for the environment! Full Circle is one of my favorite yarns to work with - it's a lofty single ply, the colors are richly heathered, and the finished fabric is soft yet sturdy with a pleasant wooliness to it. After seeing the color samples arrive at the office, I decided that I wanted to crochet a blanket using Full Circle Worsted in Cardinal, Mocha, and Latte. |

I may have told you this before, but it's a truth that I need to say again. I love books! A book is a tangible item - you can touch it, turn the pages and (of course) it can inspire you! Our book list is constantly changing as I search for wonderful new books. Now, to make it even better, the books are on sale for 40% off! I don't know about you, but Black Friday for me means being lazy & laying around in my pajamas, recovering from Thanksgiving, not running around to a bunch of stores - I leave that to my sister who looks forward to it every year. (Of course my feelings may have something to do with my many years of having to work in retail on the day after (US) Thanksgiving). But I like nothing better than an online sale - which means Cyber Monday is perfect for my style of shopping! No pushing & shoving involved! This year our Cyber Monday sale will start at 6 am PST on Monday, 11/28/11 so that nobody has to stay up all night or wake up at 3 in the morning to get the best deals. As my first blog post, I am excited to be the one to announce our upcoming sale!
