Though I have loved many Knit Picks yarns over the course of my recent project making, Preciosa Fingering Tonal Yarn might perhaps be my all-time favorite. The colors are spectacular, the softness is unmatched, and projects made in this yarn come out looking so very dreamy. For a while, I swore off fingering weight projects. I just wasn't getting through them efficiently, and they would often be left in my knitting basket, as works in progress, for months and months. Preciosa Tonal Fingering Yarn is bringing me back to this yarn weight single handedly (or single ply-edly? haha). Here are some staff projects we've recently completed, if you'd like to see. |

Whether you're a person who loves to stash yarn, or a crafter who buys only on a per-project basis, this episode will interest you. We speak to Hannah Fettig of Knitbot, about her app and booklet called "Stashbot", helping knitters understand yarn quantities for each project they're planning. We also speak with Elizabeth, whose stash is so big that it's taking over whole rooms of her house (see her "Main Yarn Room" above)! Find out what she loves about owning a large stash, how she uses it, and how she keeps it organized. 3 easy ways to listen... |

My first love, knitting was quickly followed by dabbling in spinning with a little drop spindle I picked up at my local yarn store in college. I was immediately smitten with the idea that I could spin my very own yarn right there in my dorm room and the rest is history! Now, I have a Sonata Spinning Wheel in my craft room, several drop spindles and a funny little vintage spinning wheel that I can tote with me to the park (and yes, that's definitely a thing I've been known to do occasionally). Now that I've started weaving in a serious way, I can't wait to spin yarn specifically to use on my loom too! Whether you're a beginner spinner, never tried your hand at it or are looking for an interesting book to add to your spinning library, we've got you covered with a round up of my favorite tools and books. |
