This week, Jenny and Kerin sit down for a chat about their easily-enabled world of crafting. From knitting and spinning to beading, weaving, crochet and tatting, it's sometimes just too easy to get sucked into a whole new craft. Our recent obsession: crochet! Having attempted to learn crochet several times, both Kerin and Jenny share their prior attempts before finally mastering the basics of crochet. Earlier this week, I was feeling a bit at loose ends in terms of audio books. I couldn't seem to find anything that kept my interest. So, I sent a tweet out into the great Twitter world and was thrilled with the suggestions I received. When I went to Audible to check out the tempting titles, I found that another of my favorite listening companies had joined forces with Audible.com -- The Great Courses! |

So for me, this year's Knit & Crochet in Public week has been all about returning to my first (and sadly unfinished!) crochet project. You can tell how comfortable I wanted to be to knit Star Athena’s Red Velvet Cupcakes Cuffs. I set up my tray for a nice, quiet afternoon. Knitting, reading while staying caffeinated and hydrated. And, yes, my mp3 player for an audio book. |

Recently I whipped up a little striped Chroma hat, and it's quicky become my favorite hat this winter. It didn't take much yarn, just a little of two colors, and the pattern is super easy! It's a quick and cute project for using up yarn leftovers. So, I thought I'd share. You'll need about 30 grams each of two colors of Chroma Worsted (my finished hat weighs 58 grams).
