Say "hello" to the lovely new Felici Fingering colors! There are four brand new colors (Sorbet, Rustic Cabin, Mountain Stream + Blackberry Jam) and two old favorites (Time Traveler + Rainbow) in limited quantities so once they're gone, they're gone. |

I always try to keep a small project on my hooks or needles as a sort of crafty "palate cleanser" while I'm working on intense, long-term projects. I've noticed that it helps to keep me motivated and excited about those big pieces if I can take a mini break and finish something else quickly. My newest favorite mini knit is Purl Soho's free Garter Flap Hat (teeny tiny baby sized). |

When our newest yarn, Lindy Chain, arrived at the office, it was love at first sight. The gorgeous colors! The cool crispness of the fiber! The way it seemed to shine and glow! I was so excited, I had to sit down for a bit. Once I recovered, I realized I had the perfect pattern for this yarn all queued up- the lovely and classic Strathcona, by Jane Richmond. |

During the hottest months of the year, I tend to gravitate to projects that use lightweight yarns or projects that use plant fibers rather my beloved wool. Luckily, our three newest collections covers those type of projects! |

I know it's officially Craft (Knit) in Public Week but you can find me doing something crafty while I'm out and about every day, 365 days out of the year so why limit myself to one week!? Unfortunately I don't always have someone along with me to document my craftitude so I thought I'd share some of my favorite craft selfies in honor of my favorite week! |

With Memorial Day this past weekend heralding the unofficial start of summer, my favorite season, I thought I'd take a look at my to-knit list and start planning my warm-weather pieces! I knit year round, although I usually knit smaller items with more plant-based fibers in warmer months, since they're cooler to hold and take up less space when toting them around on trips. |

Portland has been struck with a big, chilly ice stick this weekend. We've all been shut up at home, waiting out the weather (thankfully the power stayed on the whole time) and I bet more than a few of us were working on our craft projects! I spent the weekend feverishly finishing up a pretty basic pullover in Brava Worsted Peacock. You know the kind I'm talking about - acres of stockinette stitches, a good bit of positive ease for a comfy, simple layer. However, there was one part that I wasn't looking forward to wrestling with: set in sleeves. |

I'm so glad that the Under 100 Knit Collection is finally out! Now that it's done (and I don't have to keep track of tiny tags and missing pairs of things) I can take a breath and really appreciate a few of the projects in this collection! |
