Remember my plans for knitting the Treefort Jacket for a friend? Well, it turns out that the baby she thought was a girl is actually going to be a boy. Rachael and I have decided to blame her husband since it is his co-worker who is having the baby and he has not been good about communicating vital information. Including the baby shower invitation that Rachel saw sitting in his car when they headed for the beach the MORNING OF THE SHOWER! It had been in the car for quite awhile.

Happy Friday!

Memorial Day weekend is a weekend here in the US of remembering men and women of the military. It’s also the unofficial start of the summer (though it certainly doesn’t feel much like summer here in the Pacific Northwest right now!).  And it’s my birthday – a fairly significant one at that!  So with that, I figured I’d share with you 4 awesome free patterns to enjoy!

Two New Stroll Hand Painted Colors!

One of my favorite parts of my job here at Knit Picks is picking new colorways for Imagination and Stroll Hand Painted. It’s always fun to make twenty or so different colorways pulled from some of my favorite photographs, natural formations or time periods. Then we all get together and cull the herd of possible yarns down to two, three or however many we need to round out the existing yarn line. We only needed two new faces for Stroll Hand Painted this time and I’m really pleased with what we decided upon!
