I'm working on a mutimedia project with Swish yarn in rainbow colors, to be completed in coming weeks. I had a few scraps left, so I thought I'd add a neutral and cast on for a sweater for my daughter. There was one catch: Swish is worsted weight, and I use fingering weight yarn, almost exclusively. |

So have you seen our new Chroma yarn colors? We've had the samples in the office for several months and we've been dying to show them to you! I think these are my favorite batch of colors we've put out - both the neutrals and the super cheery brights. |

I've been doing a lot of traveling this summer and have been looking forward to times when I can relax for a bit. So for my newest 52 Weeks of Dishcloth pattern, I decided I wanted to do a spa cloth to use when I have a little time to myself. So I came up with the Dreamy Spa Cloth. |

I make it no secret that I love baseball. And this year, a new pattern was released that a lot of my fellow baseball fans have been working on - Crackerjack! |

I'm a sucker for color gradation. Show me anything in rainbow color scheme and I cannot resist buying it, making it, or eating it. |

Have I mentioned lately how much I love Billow for blankets of any shape and size? I am officially hooked! This is my second blanket that I've made with this bulky cotton and there are just so many reasons why I will inevitably continue to make more. Aside from Billow's supreme softness, I adore how the slight thick-and-thin nature of Billow translates in crocheted stitches. Plus, it's an excuse to whip out my hefty 6.5mm crochet hook! And that means lots of progress in short amounts of time, which is insanely satisfying when it comes to making blankets. |

Every year, I cast on for a new project for the new year. This year, I opted for my favorite type of pattern - a plain cardigan with some neat details. So I went with Andi Satterlund's Armande from Knitty. I just love the pockets & collar! I happened to have more than enough Wool of the Andes Superwash (my new favorite yarn) in Garnet Heather and it seemed like a perfect choice. So I dutifully cast on January 1st. |

I'm about to start on my first serious crochet garment. I stumbled upon the Northern Dreams Pullover during a long Pinterest session trawling for new crochet ideas. In two shakes, I had the Best of Interweave Crochet book on order from our warehouse to replace our missing office copy and I headed straight for the Wool of the Andes Sport yarn bins. I had a few color palettes in mind that I wanted to see in person before I settled on one. |

I'm embracing the long winter months ahead with a delicious wintery blue Brava project. Like most everyone, I have a major crush on any rainbow palette - be it a full-on Crayola extravaganza or a subtle monochromatic transition. I was delighted when we expanded our Brava acrylic worsted palette to include just the perfect hues for my dream crochet blanket. |
