This time of year, many of us crafters are looking for some brand new projects to start for ourselves! So I thought I'd do a round up of our best selling patterns from 2016, both to inspire you and to see what your fellow Knit Picks lovers worked on this year! #1 - Hue Shift Afghan This is, by far, our most popular pattern year after year! And it's easy to see why - it's a super fun knit (those squares are just addicting) and looks gorgeous. It's also easy to switch colors or yarns for your own personal preference. The original is in Brava Sport while I made a version in Mighty Stitch (which I LOVE). I've also seen versions in so many creative colorways - check out the projects on Ravelry! |

Our new Knits for Everybody collection couldn't have come at a better time! My sister is about to have a baby in November which means that I immediately threw out my old queue of knitting projects and cast on for every baby project I could think of. Now, it's been a long time since I've been around a baby and it's hard to remember how absolutely teeny tiny they are when they're brand new. Instead of winging it and just guesstimating the size of a newborn baby, I turned to Knits for Everybody to help me find just the right size! |

To give you some ideas, we are offering one of our exclusive patterns for free for one week only for the next 12 weeks! |

Book Sale is on! Do you love new knitting and crochet books? I love them. I find so much inspiration in books, whether they be collections of sweaters and accessories, books on new (or old) techniques, or books about...nonsense. I love making nonsense! By that, I mean mostly impractical items to keep or give away but that are pretty much guaranteed to bring a smile to the faces of people who see them. When I found in Twinkie Chan's newest book, "Crochet Abode a la Mode", I started making just that. It might be my favorite craft book ever, and so far, I've made four projects from it. Check them out! |
