We're focusing on charity crafting this month, with the release of our new book Helping Hands: Made With Love, Given With Heart. You can buy the book (on sale for just $5.99!), or download the ebook for free! It contains six patterns in both knit and crochet, that are perfect for donating to a charity who could really use your help. In the book, we highlight some worthy campaigns, one of them being Knots of Love. We wanted to learn a bit more about them, so we asked Christine, from the organization, to answer some questions. Click through to read all about it! |

I have a great affinity for the books we publish ourselves here at Knit Picks. I've attended the photo shoots for them, been witness to the proof reading of them in the office, and have received copies of the gorgeous finished books, themselves. It's definitely one of the things that I want to show customers the most - the gorgeous quality of these books, and the great patterns contained within them. So, I was excited when I heard we were having a promo where, if you spend $25, you can pick out a Knit Picks book, for free! Since there's only a couple more days left of the promo, I thought I'd highlight my favorite 3 books. There's so many good ones, it's really hard to choose! |

This week we're continuing our series called "Toy Extras", where we offer up free patterns on our site to complement the patterns in "Cute, Cuter, Cutest: Toys to Love in 3 Sizes". This week is a quick one: Why not knit or crochet some dishcloths, as the perfect blankets for the smaller sized stuffed friends? Here we've made some of our favorites from 52 Weeks of Dishcloths: A Knit Picks Kitchen Spectacular, but you could just find your favorite dishcloths (both knit and crochet) in our free patterns section, and tuck in your "lovey" for a cozy night's sleep. Liza, the smallest size knitted raccoon, is loving her comfortable bed. For more toy extras, check out A Sweater for Dolly and Snacks for Hungry Sloths |
