If you are like me, you’re learning some new terms as you expand your knitting knowledge. I’ve spent a lot of time with the glossary of terms in a book and searching the internet to understand a term that I hadn’t encountered before. One of those terms that I think is important to understand is the term superwash. |

Knit Picks 2018 Summer Yarn Sale is almost over, have you stocked up? No? Well there are still some super deals to be had. Grab a few balls of Aloft! This luscious Mohair-Silk blend is so exquisite you really have to feel it to believe it and for as low as $4.89 it’s worth adding a ball or two to your cart. For new lace knitters try it with the Two-in-One Lace Scarf pattern for a project that comes in under $20 for 4 balls. I think Sky & Mongoose or Mongoose & Tarragon would make bold fun color combos. |

Holidays means different things to different people. The 4th of July being no exception to this rule, this particular holiday has always been about keeping things as low-key as possible for me. This year my family of three will be venturing west into the Columbia Gorge to spend a night at the Skamania Lodge, far from the festivities where we will be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery sans fireworks. |
