12 Weeks of Gifting – Santa Pillow
Santa Pillow knit pattern: part of Knit Picks' 12 Weeks of Gifting free knitting patterns.

Surprise! It’s the end of September. Well, technically that’s not the surprise, although I will say that time has almost no meaning at this point (2020, amiright?) so, YES. The fact that fall is officially here is a bit of brain bender. No, the surprise is this—our annual 12 Weeks of Gifting series has begun!

We’ve added a little twist to our lineup this year. Ya know, just to keep things interesting. Each week from now until the middle of December, we’ll be offering one of our greatest hit patterns to you as a FREE download! But it will only be available for one week, so be sure to download it right away!

To kick things off in true holiday style, this week we’re “gifting” to you our beloved Santa Pillow, available as a free download (for one week only!). If you’re like many and LOVE knitting up this festive pattern, you’ll be happy to know that there is now a Rainbow Gnome version, perfect for keeping your favorite cozy chair company the other 11 months out of the year.

Remember: This pattern will be free for this week only! So be sure to download it before 10/5/2020 at 11:59pm Pacific Time.

Both versions are worked in the round with the same repeated motif on back and front. The top of the pillow is finished in Kitchener stitch and the bottom is seamed together after a pillow insert is added.

We have set up a handy 12 Weeks of Gifting calendar, so be sure check back every Tuesday to find a new free pattern. Happy crafting!

I was so excited to see your offering of ’12 weeks of gifting’ appear in the November magazine, but now I find these have been offered for only a week, and those weeks are long passed for the patterns I wish to have! Is there no way to retrieve a pattern past that one week? I am devastated!

Brilliant! I have a 40 year old Gay man that this will make a perfect gift to celebrate this milestone. Hugs WAHx

Is there a link to have patterns sent to our email? (I’m guessing that might be a PDF?) I only have a phone, and I’ve tried repeatedly to download it, and it doesn’t work. If I can click a link to have patterns sent to my email or gmail, then I could open them and print them at the library, when it is re-opened. (Covid closures)I have a yahoo email, or a gmail account.

Hi Carol! We don’t have an automatic email for the patterns, but I sent you a separate email. 🙂

I’m just re-learning how to knit and I SO love this pillow. Might just have to attempt it. I’ve done a couple of smaller projects so far, learning every day!
