Growing up, when I used to think of tweed, images of weathered old shepards on the blustery cliffs of the Emerald Isle would typically come to mind. Basically, something similar to the wardrobe from”Darby O’Gill and the Little People”.
Fast forward to now, a thirty something (who complains of being cold all the time) living in the Pacific Northwest, who would do anything to have a closet full of those classic + rugged garments. With weights ranging from Aran to Fingering, the range of project potential is vast (scarves, lap blankets, leg warmers perhaps?) The proverbial sky’s the limit! Some of my personal faves of our current lineup are:
City Tweed in Lemon Curd
Stroll Tweed in Wellies Heather
Wool of the Andes Tweed – Papaya Heather
Whether it’s a classic grandpa sweater, a chunky cowl, or maybe this Lemon Tweed Hoodie, everybody needs a little more tweed in their life.
