Petite Presents

Oh, how I love our new pattern collection: Petite Presents! All the projects use under 150 grams of yarn so they’re great projects when you want something to work on over a weekend or need to make some quick gifts. For me, this collection is all about hats, so I thought I would feature my very favorite patterns, in depth.

First up, the Cheery Amelia hat! I LOVE this pattern! The earflap shape is just perfect as it gently slopes into the body of the hat with a really flattering shape. I also really like that the hat is knit entirely in ribbing, to perfectly fit any head size. And pompoms… I mean, you can’t go wrong with a pompom. EVER.

Erica Jackofsky knocks it out of the park once again with the Rooted Cable Hat. I was smitten with this hat during the photo shoot for this collection because Swish DK made the most squishy, satisfying fabric in this cable pattern. Plus, it fit our model so well! I think this is a great unisex pattern too, if you’re looking for a great guy knit.

Lastly, the Merrifield Hat is my ideal “waiting in line for brunch” hat. I have a whole wardrobe of clothes that are comfy but cute enough to wear out to a lazy late breakfast on the weekends. I can absolutely imagine wearing this hat while I clutch my mug of coffee in line for brunch at my favorite restaurant in Portland. Combine this with a big cowl, long loose knit pullover and some leggings and you’re all set!

Have any of the patterns in Petite Presents caught your eye? Are you making them for yourself or gifts? I would love to hear what’s sparked your interest, let me know in the comments!
