We are down to our Final Four! In the last round, Comfy and Billow were neck and neck for most of the round, until Comfy surged ahead in the final hours with 55% of the vote. And Cotlin trounced Dishie with 72% of the vote, so the two cotton “C”s are moving on to the Final Four! Here’s the updated bracket.

We are so honored to introduce our guest artists, Caden and Natalie Best. As one would expect with such illustrious artisans, the duo proved difficult to reserve. After much negotiation, bartering and outright groveling, we were able to commission their talent for illustrations of yarn lines and our book sale.

In our two battles last week, Wool of the Andes had a close win over Capra (54% of the vote) while Alpaca Cloud barreled over Wool of the Andes Bulky (70% of the vote – was it the beautiful new projects from In Bloom in Alpaca Cloud that gave it the advantage?) So here is the updated bracket!
Spring is the ideal time for new yarns and patterns that inspire! Having kept the exciting news under wraps for months, Jenny and Stacey finally get to gush about Hawthorne, a yarn line inspired by the neighborhoods in Portland! And for a bright twist, there is also Stroll Brights, a neon-inspired special reserve yarn line. Finally, Jenny and Stacey introduce In Bloom, the new Spring collection featuring 15 patterns from independent designers.
This week’s design for our 52 Weeks of Dishcloths is the Neutral Stripes Dishcloth. I was going through my collection of dishcloths at home, and I realized that I tend to first pick a color palette and then do a number of variations using the same colors so that I have a matched set. I already have a ton of bright-bright-bright dishcloths for my kitchen, so for this pattern I wanted something that could alternatively be used as a spa or face cloth in the bathroom.
Wow! 2 battles in Round 2 were thisclose! In the Plantastic Battle, Comfy just barely squeaked by Galileo by 9 whole votes (see, every vote counts!). And in an even closer match, Cotlin and Shine were neck & neck the entire time with Cotlin finally coming out on top by 5 votes. The other 2 battles were pretty decisive with Billow getting 70% of the vote in the battle with Curio and Dishie triumphant over Dishie Multi with 65% of the vote. So here’s the updated bracket:
In Bloom is our newest (gorgeous) spring collection, and I’m so thrilled that I get to talk a little more about it! There are fifteen light-weight projects ranging from the pretty little Flora Headscarf in Palette Bluebell to the super detailed lace weight Juliet Cardigan. There’s something for everyone in this collection and it will definitely be my go-to as I prep for warmer weather and clearer skies.
