How To Dress Your Classic Baby

I used to buy new clothing for myself intermittently. Then I had kids, and the wardrobe budget went straight to them. It’s so much more satisfying to buy things that look adorable on your favorite little people, even if they wear them for about two weeks before they outgrow them. I love pairing my favorite store-bought items with the children’s clothes I make. Here’s a few ways you can do the same, using items from our newest kid’s collection “Classic Knits for Kids”.

Sophia Spa Cloth

Designing this spa cloth was definitely one of those times where the yarn tells you what it wants to become. Loganberry Dishcloth

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to ride my bike down to my local farmers market and choose a flat with 6 boxes of my favorite berries – blueberries, raspberries, strawberries – and of course loganberries!  When I finished my new dishcloth pattern, the bobbles resembled berries, especially in the bright Begonia pink of the Dishie color I chose.  So I decided to call it the Loganberry Dishcloth.

When we first started the planning stages of our two new kitchen collections, my mind was swimming with ideas! I am admittedly am a Pinerest addict, so it’s no surprise that I kept stumbling across mason jar cozies. Once I had decided on the idea for a set of jar cozies, I did many many swatches of different patterns in Curio but ultimately settled on a cute lace chevron motif.

Kitchen Collections – Crocheted Bread Warmer

A while back the Knit Picks team was given a challenge to create a pattern for the crocheted kitchen collection.  And so the Classic Kitchen Crochet Collection was born. I chose to create the Crocheted Bread Warmer. Since I’m crazy about bread and there’s nothing better than warm bread or rolls, it seemed like the perfect choice for me! There are two shape options, round or square, in Cotlin yarn.
