Toy Extras: Blankets for Baby Animals

This week we’re continuing our series called “Toy Extras”, where we offer up free patterns on our site to complement the patterns in “Cute, Cuter, Cutest: Toys to Love in 3 Sizes“. This week is a quick one: Why not knit or crochet some dishcloths, as the perfect blankets for the smaller sized stuffed friends?

Stuff We Love: Amour Crochet Hook Set

When I first started on my crochet journey, I soon discovered that the metal hooks most crocheters I know use hurt my hands a lot. Even though I thought I crocheted faster with the metal hooks, I switched to a set of wood hooks and my hands were happy. However, one day I had a sudden inspiration for a new pattern while in the KP office and could only find our set of Amour Crochet Hook Set to use. So I grabbed them…and my crocheting life changed.

Stuff We Love: Clover Pom-pom Maker

There is nothing quite as satisfying as topping off a newly finished knit hat with a big, chunky pom-pom. In my world, there isn’t a pom-pom that is too big or too fluffy!

Toy Extras: A Sweater for Dolly

Today we continue our Toy Extras Series, where we suggest free patterns already on the Knit Picks site, to make with the toys in our new books Cute, Cuter, Cutest: Toys to Love in 3 Sizes. Out of all the friends in the knit collection, the Human Beans are my favorite. They’re the kind of dolls I love – simple to make and easy to customize. I’d like to make a few different ones, with funny mouths and eyebrows in duplicate stitch, noses made with safety eyes, of different sizes, on each one. I’d make simple clothes for all of them, and I’d probably make my own patterns. For this cable sweater, however, I don’t have to!
