After a long search, and many many bids my husband and I finally bought our very first house! Coincidentally the Knit Picks Tranquility home collection came out the same month we bought our first home. I was so excited because this collection has the perfect patterns to add a touch of style and comfort to our new home! These patterns would also make great house warming gifts if you know of anyone who recently bought a new home. Just be warned – you might want to keep them all for yourself! Here are a few patterns I’m thinking about making for my new abode.
The chic Diamondbacked Pillow has the perfect geometric colorwork pattern to give my living room or bedroom some much needed style. This pillow pattern includes a monochrome texture on the other side, so you can go from classic to contemporary in just a flip. Which is awesome because I love to switch up my decor every now and then. I could knit a couple for my couch or just one as an accent pillow for my bed in my bedroom. If I do just one I’m thinking of choosing an even darker contrasting color to really showcase the geometric colorwork pattern to give my house an even bigger punch of style.
Moroccan Muse Rug
There’s nothing I love more than a cute bohemian pattern paired with a chic vintage design. This Moroccan Muse Rug is the perfect little accent rug to add softness and style to my entryway. Knit in my favorite cotton yarn, Dishie! Held double to create a nice durable cotton rug with a soft vintage fringed edge.
My husband can attest to my blanket obsession, or hoarding as he likes to call it! I can’t help it. We live in the Pacific northwest, where rainy dreary weather calls for a nice cuddly blanket to curl up with. The Larkshead Throw has a stunning bohemian vibe combining a intriguing plant-like cable motif with a soft fringed edge. This is one of those blankets that look beautiful just draped on the back of your couch.
There are plenty more b-eautiful patterns in the Knit Picks Tranquility collection that are just waiting for you to make your home more cozy. If you or someone you know recently purchased a new home, you have to go check them out for yourself!
