Free Pattern Friday: Bit of Whimsy Bath Set

Look how cute these are! I love the colors of Shine Sport in this set – Pistachio, White and Cosmopolitan – it’s sure to cheer any bathroom decor. Not only are all three pieces of this sweet set useful, they are a great way to practice new knitting skills!

The washcloth uses intarsia to spell out “wash” if you (or maybe a kiddo) needs a little reminding! It’s a great first intarsia project – small and quick to knit up. There’s also a lovely garter border so it won’t curl up on you.

The washing mitt uses a a very fun loop stitch to create its unique look and is super functional as well – the soft Shine Sport loops will get your soap nice and sudsy in the shower! Use it in lieu of a sponge or loofah to wash your kids, your dog, your car, or just yourself. The mitt even comes in two sizes so you’ll be able to get the perfect match for yourself or for a gift.

Finally, the pretty towel has a cute 2 color bubble stitch pattern on each end – great for adding just that pop of color to your decor! Since it’s knit in one piece, with a garter border, there’s no seaming involved.
