We have added an exciting new member to the Dishie family – Dishie Twist!

We used our original cheerful Dishie solid colors mixed with White to create our spin on baker’s twine. The result is the perfect yarn to give your kitchen a classic vibe, either knit or crocheted on it’s own, or mixed with the coordinating solid color.

It’s a fun yarn to play with, and we immediately had to knit our eternally popular Dish Towel Set pattern in it!

We love the retro vibe to this version, and this set would be fantastic as a gift to your favorite cook! We used the Twist versions of Fiesta Red, Blue, Conch, and Azure with White as the contrast band throughout. The stitch pattern is fun and comforting and these towels hold up year after year.

If you need a quick project, Dishie Twist is perfect for any of our free dishcloth patterns (there are over 250!). Since the 2 colors in Twist have such a high contrast, often stitch patterns can be obscured. On the other hand, I think it’s fun to have a seemingly plain dishcloth look amazing at a different angle, such as our Ripples & Ridges Dishcloth. It’s almost like a Magic Eye Painting!

But to highlight Dishie Twist to the fullest, we’d recommend a mesh or lacy stitch pattern. Our Garter Lace Dishcloth has simple increases and decreases and shows off the variations of the yarn.

Alternately, using a contrast yarn in addtion to Twist is wonderful, especially in Mosaic patterns. Our brand new Peppermint Candy Dishcloth shows it off wonderfully.
