Thanks for a great contest! We randomly chose 2 winners for the contest - each will win the toy of their choice, along with a copy of the the pattern, which designer Ann Marie Ivins generously donated. They will also receive as a copy of Linda Permann's excellent new book as well! For Quinao, the winner is: Beth Rudo! Who wrote: My favorite crochet pattern is the Tunisian Mitered Square afghan. I'm making one right now. And I would love to have Qinyao. For Roxy, the winner is: Marie/Underground Crafter! Who wrote: My favorite crochet pattern of all time is probably Monet Pineapple, by Janie Herrin (RIP). This was my very first pineapple and I made several afghans from this pattern as gifts. I would love the Roxy, please, if I win. Thanks for offering the giveaway! Thanks everyone! I think these will go to very happy homes! |

Conest is over - thanks everyone! We'll announce the winners soon! One of the best things about this job is the fact that I finally was introduced to crochet, much to my mom's delight. She had tried to teach me so many times but it never stuck until about a year ago - and now I have so many great crochet patterns to choose from! Two of my all time favorite crochet designers are Ann Marie Ivins and Linda Permann - both of of whom I've discussed here on the blog. Because I think they are both so wonderful, I figured I'd hold a blog contest to celebrate them! |

I am so excited! One of my all time favorite designers, Anna Hrachovec, has a new book out! As many folks know, I've been a fan of Anna Hrachovec's cute creatures for a long time now. And for the past year, she's been doing a weekly post of Tiny Things on her blog....and now there's a whole book of her Teeny-Tiny Mochimochi! |

Everyone at the office has been reminiscing about the last Sock Summit, all the fun that was had, and of course - all the sock yarn that was aquired. Funny enough, I catch myself saying "Last year at Sock Summit..." but it was actually two whole years ago! And we are lucky enough to have Sock Summit here in Portland again this summer. |

This contest is now closed. Thank you very much to everyone who participated! To find out who won, click here: WINNER New techniques, especially different stitches, can be so fun to learn! However, if you are new to stitch dictionaries - sifting through all of those instructions can seem a bit daunting, especially when the stitch uses an unfamiliar abbriviation or references an obscure technique. Additionally, everyone learns at a different pace and in different ways. This is why having technique and reference videos is so important, it really makes learning accessible to a wider range of crafters. This is why I am so happy to say we are giving away one copy of the DVD, "Stitch Heaven Salutes Barbara Walker!" The best part? It is signed by Barbara Walker! |

Thank you to everyone who entered the Barbara Walker DVD contest! Barbara Walker is such an icon in the knitting community and the fact that she was so kind to autograph this copy of “Stitch Heaven” is really wonderful. Using a random number generator, we have selected our winner: #143 – Marilyn“I would love this DVD. I am learning to knit as an adult which can be tough. Taking knitting classes doesn’t work when I work 12 hour shifts and not everything is easy to Learn from a book. I’m a visual learner and thankfully I’ve found the Internet and specifically YouTube videos to be a wonderful learning tools. Enjoy your posts.” Based on Marilyn’s comment, we know this DVD will be a great help in her efforts to learn to knit. Thank you again to everyone who participated, we really appreciate it! -Alisha & Jenny |

This contest is now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated. To find out who won, click here: WINNERS As most Felici self-striping sock yarn fans know, Felici colorways have always been limited edition. Each year, we come up with a new selection of colors, and buy a set amount. Felici aficionados have learned to stock up while the getting is good, sometimes certain colorways sell out fast (ahem, 2010's Rainbow)! This year was actually the first time we decided to bring back a color, Rainbow, from the previous year due to customer requests. Well now we're thinking about bringing even more colors back as Felici Favorites, but we want to hear from you! |
