Ode to Dishcloths

I like making dishcloths. They are such a fun and quick way to learn a new skill, and they are incredibly low pressure. You messed up? It’s just a dishcloth! You made it perfectly? What a fantastic dishcloth! It’s a win-win, and I am a big fan. I might have mentioned that around the office, and then been asked to write a poem about it. So I did. Without further ado …

ODE TO DISHCLOTHS

So you want to knit a dishcloth?
It’s not hard to see
they teach you new skills
and so practically!

They’re fun and they’re small
and quite useful, too.
Make some that are yellow,
and some that are blue.

Want to play with colors?
Please, by all means!
And when you’re all done knitting,
just watch how it cleans.

There are so many options,
no two are the same,
there’s even one perfect
for a basketball game!

So whether you knit
or prefer to crochet,
Pick up some yarn
and make a dishcloth, ok?
