Well, I certainly could use a chocolate truffle right about now. But since I don’t seem to have one around, the next best thing in my mind would be a free pattern by Susanna IC.
Susanna has been a favorite around here for a long time – you may have seen all her patterns in IDP as well as in Twist Collective, Interweave Knits, KnitCircus, and many other places. Truffle is the 3rd pattern in her Box of Chocolate Collection and you can find the other two on the Knit Picks website as well – the lovely Nougat neckwarmer and the beautiful BonBons fingerless mitts. Lots of sweets, no calories!
Truffle is my favorite though – I love (and wear) hats all year round and this pretty lacy rib with mock cables is right up my alley. I’m also constantly looking for patterns to use the million skeins of fingering weight yarns I just seem to collect. Plus, the silk in Gloss just gives it a nice shine – I can see myself wearing this out on a chilly spring evening.
While the color used isn’t available anymore, this would look great in any shade of Gloss. Or this might be a great project for that single skein of Capretta you may have bought to play with. Oh and we those lovely new shades of Stroll Tonal out…
Have I tempted you enough yet? Here’s where to get the pattern!
And be sure to check out Susanna’s other IDP patterns for more beautiful designs!
Have a great weekend everyone!
