Earlier in the year, I wrote a post outlining my crazy goals for 2011. Well, 2011 is over – how did I do?
First of all – the total! I wanted to hit 100 knitted projects, plus 11 sewn projects to make a total of 111 in 2011. Did I make it?
Boy howdy, I sure did! 100 knitted projects, from cast on to bind off, finished in 2011. To me, that’s really the biggest achievement, considering how much else I’ve been working on. But, what were they? Well, here you go!
I had some goals as to what the 100 projects would be. That’s where I got into some trouble – I hardly had any time to knit over summer and fall, so I didn’t make my 12 sweaters goal. But I didn’t do too badly. So how did it all break down?
-5 adult sized sweaters
-7 pairs of baby booties
-10 miscellaneous projects (scarves, cowls, mittens, etc.)
-24 pairs of socks
-54 hats
And of those, 75 projects were for charity!
I think my favorite projects were my colorwork sweaters. I had so much fun stashbusting all the different colors of Wool of the Andes that I’ve picked up over the years!
Now that 2011 is gone, it’s time for a fresh start and fresh resolutions. I think I’m going to give another shot to making 12 sweaters in 12 months – I’ve got about three or four sweaters I’m thinking about for myself, and my husband has been begging for one as well. For now, I think I’ll stick with that and figure out my other resolutions in the coming weeks. Which means – do you have any suggestions? Anything you think I’m crazy enough to do? I sure did like the challenge of 100 projects – who knows what this year holds.
What do you resolve to do this year?
