So, as you may know, the Knit Picks offices are in Vancouver WA but our distrubution center is located in Columbus OH – shipping from a more centralized location helps keep our shipping costs down!  But many of us who work in in WA have never gotten a chance to see the warehouse or meet the folks out there.  When we went out to TNNA we finally got that opportunity!

The warehouse staff not only handle all the Knit Picks orders, but also the ones from our sister companies, Connecting Threads and Artist Club.  It’s a big place!

It was awesome to meet our OH coworkers too – and they put us right to work!

 

Jennifer showed me how they scan the items that get packaged up for orders.

 

Angela got some work in packing up some book orders.

 

And Jenny helped with putting together the new lace kit, Diatom Shawl.

 

We also learned about the fabric cutting for orders for Connecting Threads- those bolts are heavy!

 

It was about 50lbs!

We had so much fun & want to thank our OH coworkers for showing us around!  They do such an awesome job out there and it was fantastic to finally meet them – I’m glad they didn’t mind me taking a bunch of pictures of them! 🙂
