Free Pattern Friday – Wrap Around Skirt

We have a brand new free pattern on the site this week – check out the gorgeous Wrap Around Skirt by Erica Jackofsky!

Wrap Around Skirt - Free skirt knitting pattern from knitpicks.com

We’ve had such beautiful warm weather the past few weeks here in the Pacific Northwest (very unusual!), so I’ve been getting out my summery skirts out of the closet. While I have several wrap skirts I’ve sewn up, I hadn’t seen a knitted version until this one!

Check out that beautiful lace edging! This skirt is knitted from the bottom up and it’s really easy to customize it to your preferred length. Best of all, it’s knit up in Lindy Chain, our cotton/linen blend, so it’ll keep you cool on the hottest of summer days.

Our own Heidi modeled the skirt for the photos and I think she’s loving it!

I have ordered the yarn for the skirt and printed the pattern. Now, I will need a blouse/tunic pattern to go with it–it must have cap sleeves or short sleeves, NOT a low neckline. Can you help?

Thank you for the download! Wrap around skirts were once very popular. I won’t be able to make this one until next go around season, but have it book marked.

Does the skirt have to be lined?

Hi Sherri – the pattern does not call for a lining to be added to the skirt.
