Hello! I’m Brooke! I’m the new graphic designer over at KnitPicks, and I’m super excited to be here. My craft background is like a patchwork made out of things you find in the back of your art cabinet. I’m a big fan of graphite, colored pencil, and ink work. I’m also partial toward digital illustration, geometric sculpture, and finding random things to glue together. I do knit and crochet, but I’ve never successfully knitted in the round (which I’m fixing to change here pretty soon). I’m learning to knit lace, which is going well, if slowly. There are so many talented knitters here at KnitPicks, and their creations are inspiring me to work harder to improve! In my spare time I’m usually in the ... |

Hello! I’m Susie and I’m new around here. I’ll be working as a Project Coordinator for both Knit Picks and its sister brand, Connecting Threads. I have a BFA in Fiber from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and am very excited to work alongside my new crafty colleagues! While I do know how to knit and crochet, I consider myself more of a sewer and embroiderer than anything else. I have also dabbled in weaving, needle and wet felting, natural dyeing, and screen-printing. |

I have been fortunate to have many creative teachers, this post helps you get to know me and my creative background a lot better! |

We have recently had some staff changes here at the Knit Picks office. It took a few months to find just the right person, but we are happy to introduce. . .me! I’m Daniel, and I am the new Administrative Assistant for Knit Picks. I’ll be around to do the fiddly, little things that no one else has the time (or inclination) for. In addition, I am the new Coordinator for our Independent Designer Partnership Program, so if you are one of our Independent Designers (or would like to be!) you’ll be working with me. |

We’ve made a few changes in the office recently and I’m pleased to introduce you to one of our newest Knit Picks team members, Jennifer! Jennifer is brand new to our team, and has become a Jill-of-all-trades around the office. From processing all the new books we get in, to e-mailing with the designers in our IDP program, she's quickly become an indispensable addition to our little group. We asked her some quick questions about her crafty background and her experience working here, so far! |

Hi! I'm Emily, and I'm the new graphic designer here at Knit Picks. I'm so excited to be able to combine my passion for knitting and the handmade with my love for design. It's incredibly inspiring to spend my days surrounded by yarn, needles, new patterns, and the creativity of my co-workers. It's so inspiring, in fact, that in the short time since I've joined the team, I've already cast on for two new projects, and my to-knit list has gotten substantially longer! |

O hey, everyone! My name is Jenny and I’m a brand new, pleased-as-punch addition to the Knit Picks staff. As time goes on, I hope to share all my beautiful, botched or just plain shrug-inducing projects with you! It’ll be fun, I promise. First and foremost, I don’t knit. And frankly, how are you all doing it? Was I merely born with the dexterity of child wearing thick mittens? The needles! The way you must hold TWO of them! On the other hand: Crocheting. |

I wanted to take a minute and introduce myself because I have a feeling we’ll be hearing a lot from each other on this blog. I’m the new (very excited) Graphic Designer at Knit Picks. I just sent my very first catalog to the printers so I’ll have more time to post about all the crazy knit things I’m working on. I’m a self-taught crafter. There’s nothing I like more than starting a brand new project, just to experiment with a little idea I have. I think all my best ideas start in the morning over a fresh cup of chai tea brewing in my favorite mug. A few of you have already met Linus, my little rabbit friend and the new spokes-bunny for our Sugarbunny yarn. He lives in my apartment with his bunny friend, Fiona. His hobbies include eating fresh mint, getting stuck in curtains and munching on the ... |
