This week’s free 12 Weeks of Gifting pattern is a fun + playful project features a brilliant checkerboard of bright colors! The Dotty Cowl is knit in the round from the bottom up. It begins and ends with a reverse stockinette band, knit from the wrong side (no purling on the bands). The Dotty Stitch Pattern is a simple slip-stitch pattern which is enhanced by the effortless color transitions of Chroma Worsted. Only one color is used per round, making this a very relaxing knit. There is enough yardage with Chroma Worsted for two cowls; one for you and one for a friend. |

We’re over halfway through our 12 Weeks of Gifting series, and from here on out the patterns will be requiring less and less time to complete (in theory). As a person who is constantly striving to contain every aspect of her life in an organized fashion, I find that I can never have enough baskets, bowls, boxes, etc. This quaint trio of coordinating bowls makes the perfect storage solution for the many bibs & bobs we crafters tend to collect! The Felted Bowls are knit in our beloved Wool of the Andes yarns (which offers 100 different colors to choose from), many variations of these felted bowls can be made. There are three sizes, all of which ... |

Everyone loves a cozy scarf, which makes this week’s 12 Weeks of Gifting pattern perfect for, well, gifting! The shifting colors of the elegant Progression Scarf pattern may look complicated to knit, but Chroma Worsted does all the heavy lifting. All you do is work 3 balls alongside each other and make sure to start each ball at a different color point (e.g., light – dark – light). The result is three bands of color gracefully flowing beside one another. Every third stitch is a seed stitch, providing a subtle but eye-catching texture. |

“Everyday is Halloween, isn’t it?” Tim Burton Warning! We went a little “mad scientist” in the sock lab this month. We blame all the chocolate covered treats and pumpkin flavored everything we are surrounded by on a daily basis. The results of our experimentation? A veritable monster mash-up of bold hues and stark black speckles that scream “It’s alive (with color)!’ |
