We're starting a new feature here on the blog - Free Pattern Friday! Once in a while, on a Friday, we'll feature a free pattern, new or old, and tell you all about it! This week we've got the Quadrat Blanket, so stunning, and so fast to make! The geometric texture of this blanket works up quickly with super bulky yarn and large needles, giving you a beautiful throw that will add warmth to any room in your home. Quadrat is made in Tuff Puff Yarn (I'd choose Mint for a bold pop of color) but if you're trying to stash bust, why not hold two strands of a worsted weight together and see if you get gauge? Whatever size you come up with, this blanket will making coming home on chilly evenings, just a bit more pleasurable. |

One of the most popular things on our site has been our free dishcloth patterns. For two years, each week, we featured a new dishcloth that so many people used to practice new stitches, develop their skills, and of course, wash their dishes! These free patterns will always be on our site, but for 2016, we're changing it up a bit. Every first Thursday of the month, we're releasing a home set ebook - patterns for your kitchen or your bathroom, or anywhere else you'd like display or use these lovely items! We're calling the series "Keeping Home", and January's set, called "Not Your Granny's Kitchen" is just so sweet! |

Well folks, we made it! Welcome to our very last installment in our free pattern series: Twelve Weeks of Gifting. The grand finale and proverbial icing on the cake is our very favorite, ever popular Dish Towel Set pattern! So simple and wonderfully giftable, this is a great pattern for any knitter. I love seeing these projects knit up, tied with a pretty ribbon and gifted with a piece of handmade soap for a perfect mother's gift, birthday or baby shower gift. Plus, this pattern calls for Dishie, a super-rugged cotton yarn perfect for cleaning up tough messes or super exfoliation! Make sure to pop over and pick up your copy of the Dish Towel Set through Tuesday and get crafting in the last few days before Christmas. |
