Since I bring my lunch to work everyday, I was particularly excited when designer Faith Schmidt showed me her idea for a knitted lunch bag pattern, as an alternative to a boring brown bag. It was perfect - small enough to carry around comfortably but large enough to hold my lunch. And now we have it available for you for free - check out the Lovely Lunch Bag! |

Did you see our utterly adorable new free pattern set for July? Check out Breakfast of Champions – #7 in our year long Keeping Home series! This fun table set includes a placemat, napkin and mug cozy inspired by the most important meal of the day! Joyce Fassbender, one of our favorite designers, outdid herself with these unique and fun patterns – and it’s a great way to practice some fun, new knitting techniques. For instance, the Buttered Toast Napkin uses a small amount a intarsia along with cute little pat of butter that is sewn on when completed. |

Have you tried our gorgeous new yarn, the 100% silk laceweight Luminance? If you're like me, you had to buy a skein because it's SHINY and PRETTY (especially the silvery-blue Reflection, on the bottom far left). But once you get it, what to do with it? Well, we have beautiful new free pattern created just for Luminance - the Papillion Choker and Wristlets by Joyce Fassbender! |

Socks are, in my humble opinion, the perfect summer project. Small, portable, and fun - they're constantly on my needles all year long. Also, since I love knitting with wool, they're light enough so I'm not dying of heat while working on them, like I would be with a heavier project. Plus, they are something I can wear right away instead of waiting until the weather cools enough for sweaters. Well, if you are looking for some fun sock patterns to try out this summer, look no further than Toasty Toes! While you can get this gorgeous collection in book and eBook form for a low price, each of these 12 patterns are available for download for free! |
