Book Giveaway – Knitting at Home

I think I'm just obsessed with coziness right now - I'm working on three different knit and crochet blankets, making throw pillows for our couch, and hunting around for the perfect pair of slippers. I don't know if you've seen Knitting at Home yet, but it's perfect for fueling any Must Get Warm At Any Cost feelings you might be having this holiday season. Even when my kitchen sink is full of dirty party dishes and the laundry is out of control, this book allows me to escape into a world of snuggly throws, hot cups of tea, and afternoons curled up on the couch.

Merry Christmas!

By now you know how I feel about Cathy Carron’s book, Cowlgirls. But, “Don’t leave!” I’m using Cowlgirls as a seque to a topic I think you will find very helpful. Cowlgirls is appealing to me because of the variety of designs, the practicality of the “cowls” and how quickly each project knits up. Now, think about the challenges many of us face when we begin to knit gifts for Christmas. What to make for whom? Something that will actually be worn. And, a definite lack of time! The secret to making a dent in your knitting list, or even finishing it, is to choose portable and easy projects. My 2nd cowl from Cowl Girls

You may have thought I was kidding when I showed you my first treasure from Cowl Girls by Cathy Carron. But, clearly, I could not resist! I love the hand-painted colors in Wool of the Andes Bulky - Beach Front. This one has twelve more inches of K2, P2 ribbing. Just the ticket for Chinese dinner out with friends tonight. Pass the veggie Moo Shu!
