Living in Oregon is a constant source of inspiration to me. But for my latest collection, Windswept, I went back to my New Jersey shore roots.
Each of the pieces in this collection is designed with shifting sands and rolling waves in mind. The Buoyant Top is a simple boat neck tee with flutter sleeves. Worked in Comfy Fingering, it is soft and light, with eyelet and I-cord details that add a touch of elegance.
The Veranda Dress is perfect for taking tea on the oceanfront porch. The belled sleeves are gathered with a cuff that can be worn at bracelet length or pushed up to the elbows for a romantic drape. The simplicity of the dress is complemented by the swag neckline and a deep, contrasting hem.
The Riffles Shawl calls to mind the little eddies and currents of the bays. Simple stockinette stitch is given a dramatic twist with pintucks to create a unique texture.
Worked in soft Shadow lace yarn, the Porcellana Cowl is a refined take on the shell necklace: two rows of a cowrie shell pattern run between edgings of Victorian-inspired lace.
Subtle shaping and a traditional lace edging make the Junonia Skirt the perfect go-to shore attire. The lining for this skirt ensures that it will not stretch out of shape, while tutorials on short rows and a hidden elastic waistband ensure a perfect, customized fit.
And finally, once the weather heats up and you’re ready for a little sun, the Arenaria Tank makes a perfect beach cover up. The racerback neckline is worked in a leafy lace, and the smooth, lightly shaped body provides plenty of coverage when you’re ready to duck into the boardwalk shops.
Each of the garments in this collection is designed to fit bust sizes up to 64″ (54″ waist on the Junonia Skirt), making this the perfect collection for beach beauties of all sizes. Whether you’re enjoying spring in your own backyard or are heading down the shore, the Windswept collection will add a fresh, ocean breeze to your wardrobe!
