Accents: Small Accessories – Big impact

Knit Picks Accents Collection

Bold. Modern. Colorful. More than just an afterthought, accessories provide much needed comfort against the rigors of daily modern life–the comforting embrace of a shawl, a hat to fortify against the cold, a cowl to envelop your senses. These small adornments often play a big role in our wardrobes, allowing us to make a personal statement while remaining ultra cozy. With colorful modern designs and straightforward stitches, you’ll delight in the possibilities that await you in Accents.

Knit Picks Moonstruck Shawl

Designer: Nancy Vandivert

Moonstruck Shawl, knit in Wool of the Andes Sport, was inspired by the classic (yet oft-forgotten about) movie, Moonstruck. As if that wasn’t reason enough to be smitten with this project, the shifting, angular stitch pattern creates a finished project that makes one heckuva impression. As one who gravitates towards more minimal color pairings, I find this shawl checks off all of my “I need to make this STAT” boxes.

Knit Picks Flight Of Birds Shawlette

Designer: Mone Dräger

The Flight Of Birds Shawlette reminds me of the bright lights and bustling energy of Times Square. The flowing color changes are courtesy of Chroma Worsted’s color, Lupine, while a simple ball of black Chroma provides the stunning framework.

Knit Picks Ruska Hat

Designer: Sierra Morningstar

My favorite thing about the Ruska Hat is the solid contrast of color where the fold-over brim meets the slope of the crown. With the bulk of the hat being knit with two strands of Chroma Worsted held together, the result is a mottled effect that adds the illusion of soft textures. It’s the perfect snow day hat!

Knit Picks Secret Heart Mitts

Designer: Lucie Desaubliaux

I love a good secret. I also live for subtle, hidden details, such as the adorable heart in the palm of the Secret Heart mitts.

Knit Picks Clacton Scarf

Designer: SpillyJane

As one who isn’t usually drawn to intricate colorwork (as projects that I would wear), I find myself daydreaming about donning the Clacton Scarf, and gallivanting around downtown Portland (upbeat video montage style). Using the bulky weight of Wool of the Andes Superwash adds a cozy amount of warmth and coverage for those days when the wind comes at you sideways, but alas, the coffee shop will not wait.
