Have you checked out our fantastic summer yarn sale yet?
This is our biggest sale yet – over 1000 yarns on sale! But with so many choices, how do you choose? To give you some ideas, here are some of my all time favorites yarns.
Well first of all, I need to start with our gorgeous cashmere blend Capra.
It was introduced soon after I started working at Knit Picks and has long been a favorite – and now almost every color is on sale! One of my most frequently reknit projects is Erica Jackofsky’s Scalliwag Hat. I’ve knit at least 6 of them over the years and it always looks great (and keeps my head toasty warm.)
Another yarn I have so much love for is the precious Preciosa – both fingering and worsted.
This squishy soft yarn works up so nice in everything from sweaters to cowls and the semi-solid colors give an interesting look and depth to all the projects I’ve made. I’m working on a wonderful garter stitch scarf by Martina Behm (Ravelry link) and I love how it’s turning out!
A yarn that tends to get overlooked is the gorgeous Andean Treasure, but I have a lot of love for it.
This is by far the softest yarn I’ve ever knit with – and that’s saying something, considering the previous 2 yarns! The baby alpaca fiber is wonderfully warm as and every project looks the height of elegance with Andean Treasure – I especially love the look in the Snowy Thicket Mittens by Emily Kintigh, which have been in my queue for months!
While these are 3 of my favorite yarns, there’s so much more on sale! But don’t miss out – the sale ends July 25th! Let me know some of your favorite Knit Picks yarns in the comments!
