Summer Knitting Projects

Fabulous knit and crochet projects for summer fun!

I think it’s safe to say that summer has arrived! Now that our sweaters have been packed away and we’re enjoying the sunshine, it’s time to pull out your summer knitting projects. Here are a few fabulous projects I’m hoping to cast on soon.

Summer Knitting Projects: Oyster Bay Tank

Summer Knitting Projects - oyster bay tank

I just love this Oyster Bay tank top! It’s knit in our fabulous lightweight linen Lindy Chain, which gives it an amazing drape and sheen. The simple diamond pattern along the sides make the perfect accent to this summer top. Designed by Kathryn Folkerth.

Summer Knitting Projects: Halcyon Shawl

Summer Knitting Projects - halcyon shawl

Shawls continue to be a hot fashion item, and knitters are loving the trend! This striking Halcyon Shawl by Chelsea Berkompas is the perfect summer accessory. It’s lightweight and airy… gorgeous wrapped as a statement piece, and great for keeping the evening chill away. Knit in Hawthorne Kettle Dye and Speckle Handpaint.

Summer Knitting Projects: Freedom Cowl

Show your patriotic spirit with Alyssa Copp’s Freedom Cowl, the perfect accessory for your Fourth of July celebration. It’s a fast and fun knit, done with large needles and Stroll Glimmer.

Summer Crochet Projects: Baby Blues Blanket

Summer Crochet Projects: Baby Blues

Confession: I don’t crochet. But if I did, I would want to make this fun Baby Blues blanket! Several different stitch patterns and colors come together to make this sweet blanket, designed by Rachel Beth and knit in gorgeous Shine Worsted.

I hope you’ve been inspired by these talented ladies and their wonderful designs. Until next time… happy knitting! (And crocheting!)
