Included are charts and color suggestions for 13 flags, and other styles can easily be created by finding the flag with the right stripes sequence and changing up the colors. Abbreviations
- CO – Cast on
- BO – Bind off
- K – Knit
- P – Purl
- RS – Right side
- WS – Wrong side
- Sts – Stitches
Notes
CO with first stripe color and BO with last stripe color. Flags are worked from the bottom up. For Intarsia patterns (Progress, Demi-Sexual/Romantic) follow full charts. The Intersex flag chart is for Duplicate Stitch. For striped flags, follow charts for number of rows in each stripe; color changes can happen on RS or WS. Below the charts, we’ve provided written stripe row counts for the 3, 4, 5, and 7 stripe flag styles. With our materials we got the approximate finished size of 4.5″ by 3.5″. Gauge is unimportant, just make a fabric you like!
