TNNA – the designers!

One of the best things about TNNA for me was meeting all the wonderful designers I work with all the time – both in the IDP program as well as on other projects.  I tried not to be all fangirly with designers I’ve loved even before I started working here but it was really hard not to be starstruck.

First up (once I remembered to start taking pictures) was one of the original IDP designers – David Castillo.

His pattern, Sakura, continues to be one of our all time top sellers and it no wonder why – it’s got a beautiful look & a great construction.

Then I finally got to meet Anna Hrachovec – who I’ve loved for years now (her Knitted Grass continues to be one of my favorite patterns)

Anna is so sweet – she has a brand new book coming out soon, full of her Teeny-Tiny Mochimochi knits (which has lots of projects in Palette).  And best of all (for me at least)- she made me a Naked Gnome for a gift!

And Michelle Miller – another early IDP designer – was there, showing off her grogeous new patterns & absolutly stunning photographs

I also got to meet the wonderful Linda Permann – my all time favorite crochet designer.

I learned to crochet from her online tutuorials plus she has a brand new Learn to Crochet kit available through us to help all of you who want to learn – or it’s great for those who just want a refresher on making fun little granny squares.

Finally, I was really delighted to meet one of my all time favorite designers, Stefanie Japel.  Several years ago, when I was a brand new knitter, the first pattern I ever purchased online was one of hers & I’ve been a fan ever since.

(funny enough, Anna Hrachovec took this picture.  It was a strange experience. And excuse the really goofy grin on my face)

Stefanie has a fantastic new job and is working on her new book – I can’t wait!

There were many more designers (like Kate OatesAmy Duncan & Angela Tong) I got to meet that I can’t fit in here – I’ll post all of the photos on our Facebook page if you would like to see them!  And we’ll have more fun things soon!
