Hi friends! I’m Jen Burt, and I am tickled to be joining the Knit Picks and We Crochet teams as the new Content and Outreach Administrator, which means I get to play with the new yarns and work with amazing designers to create pattern collections that you will want to stitch!

As a longtime stitcher, my love of yarn and fiber runs deep. I am bi-crafty and split my love equally between knitting and crochet, so I could never pick a favorite (cough cough, knitting socks). From finding the ideal match of fiber and pattern, to picking the perfect color combination, I love nothing more than planning my next project, which makes my new role here an excellent fit, although I have new fears for my ever-expanding project queue.

I relocated to the PNW from Colorado almost six years ago, and while I miss the mountains, and easily knowing what direction is west, I adore the greenery here. Plus, who doesn’t love the ocean? I try to get to the coast at least once a month. No matter where I am, my yarn stuffed project bag is close at hand.

I am looking forward to this new work adventure. I am thrilled that I will be surrounded by creative people making inspiring content and eager to see our new yarns and designs in the wild.
