So, for those of you in the US, did you go out shopping for Black Friday deals this morning? Or are you like me and spending your day lazing around, recovering from Thanksgiving? I’m actually going to be working on holiday gifts – in fact, we have two free patterns by our own Melissa that are a lot of fun & perfect quick gifts to work on this weekend!
First we have a trio of Snowmen!
I’ve made one of each of these guys for gifts & they are really fun!
Lumpy is my favorite, with his scarf & hat. 🙂 Melissa used Palette for hers, which, after lightly felting them, Lumpy & Rosie are about 3.25 inches tall, while Slim ends up being about 4″. But you don’t have to use fingering weight – I used Wool of the Andes for mine, which created larger snowmen. They are still hanging out at my friend’s house back in Massachusetts so I have no photos to show you, unfortunately.
But do you have someone naughty on your gift list? Well, Melissa has that covered as well.
Grumpy the Lump of Coal! One ball of Palette is enough for approximately 15 of these little guys for those you who have many naughty people on your list. I made a couple of these last year for my brother in law in fact. They’re really quick and since I have some Bittersweet Heather Palette laying around, I might need to make more this year.
I hope you all have a safe & happy weekend, whether you go out shopping or not! And don’t forget, be sure to check back on Monday for our Cyber Monday Sale!
