Some of you might have noticed a new yarn at Knit Picks today. You can call it happenstance, a coincidence, or simply a happy twist of fate – no matter how you look at it, I think it is a wonderful sign that our newest addition to the special reserve line up, Full Circle, was launched on America Recycles Day! This yummy, single ply yarn is made from a blend of Merino and Highland wool fibers that would have otherwise been discarded. This allows the mill to reduce waste and conserve our valuable resources, while you get to enjoy an amazing blend of fibers that help the Earth!
You will find 15 amazing shades in both worsted and bulky weight, all of which have an ever so subtle heathered quality that adds a wonderful depth. And although I wouldn’t necessarily qualify these shades as bright colors, they do have an amazing saturation to them that makes the colors really vibrant. I am already daydreaming of Full Circle hats for this winter! I want one out of Quarry, Denim, Cardinal…and I can’t forget Latte, either! Spinners can also indulge in this wonderful blend of recycled fibers with Full Circle Roving, which comes in six stunning natural shades and I can’t wait to see what others create from it.
