Are you looking for a cute pattern to keep your head warm while out & about this winter? Check out the fabulous new free pattern Snowfall Ski Hood – a cute bonnet-type hat from Kimberly Golynskiy!
This pattern uses our wonderful new Mighty Stitch Bulky. It knits up quick, with a textured brim and icord ties. If you prefer not to have the pom-poms, then you could easily do this with one skein – but I think having pom-poms in a contrasting color just heightens the cuteness factor. I highly recommend the Clover Pom-Pom Makers – it’s all I ever use to make and they always turn out great.
If you haven’t tried Mighty Stitch Bulky, now is certainly the time to do so! It’s a wonderfully soft yarn that knits up so nicely and is great for all sorts of projects, including hats.
Kimberly chose the Silver for her version, with Sky for the pom-poms. However, I can see this in so many color combos! You could go bright with Canary and Fairy Tale (you’ll certainly be visible on the snow!) or more muted with Mint and Cream. I personally love the idea of a Black hat with Pucker pom-poms, but maybe that’s my 80s childhood catching up with me.
Whatever you choose, you’re sure to be a hit this winter!
