Happy April! We have an absolutely adorable new free pattern in our Keeping Home series – check out Sand and Sea Bath Set by Joyce Fassbender!
This unique 3 piece set was inspired by a trip to the beach – which is perfect for a bathroom! All three patterns use our Comfy Worsted yarns and highlight is the fantastic Sea Snail Bath Mat.
When this came into the office, the entire staff were in awe. Knit from the inside out, this pattern uses short rows to create the spirals. While we used 3 colors (lots of ends to weave in – tip: weave them in as you go!), this would easy to be modified to a solid color.
But that’s not all – Joyce has a unique take on a towel & washcloth!
The Sea Urchin Washcloth is also knit from the inside out, with cute bobbles scattered through it – great for a scrubby washcloth! The Sea Star Hand Towel has a wonderful ruffle and striped ends with a few stars sewn on that makes a very special towel to keep in your bathroom. All 3 of these pieces use coordinating Comfy Worsted colors but this pattern is easy to adapt to your favorite color scheme – or even switching to a different yarn. I’m dying to make the bath mat in Dishie for a nice absorbent mat – maybe in one of our new colors like Clarity!
