I’m completely in love with one of our newest kits.
This gorgeous shawlette is the Dorothy Shawl, designed by Kristen Hanley Cardozo, who is one of my favorite designers. She has been a part of the IDP program for quite a while now and while I always want to knit her patterns, Dorothy has shot to the top of my queue.
I love the textured stripes and the beautiful chevron lace at the end – it just looks like it would be an interesting project to work on. There just seems to be something going on every row but it doesn’t seem like it would be too complicated for my summer brain.
I also can’t decide on the colors – while I do think the one with Stroll Tonal Gypsy & Pearlescent is beautiful, I am also really attracted to Springtime/Kindling version, as green is my favorite color and I Iike those two yarns together.
But of course, I could always pick my own colors, since the pattern is available for download too!
Kristen has 3 other patterns in IDP, including the beautiful Beetle Tracks Scarf
She also has a sweater that I’ve been dying to knit since it was released, her Jewel Lake Pullover.

I’m thinking about using the new Swish Tonal color Pacific for it! It’s pretty similar to the original color but I just love it so much.
